Shobna is an accredited counsellor and meditation teacher. She has been counselling for over 10 years and practicing meditation for over 20 years.
Counselling – Shobna helps you to clarify the issues or life’s challenges that are preventing you from moving forward, explores options and strategies that in turn increases self-awareness, promotes positive change, healing and personal growth. Shobna uses evidence based eclectic approach to assist you resolve your concerns in a positive way that encourages room for positive change to take place in your life – with improved coping strategies, increased self-confidence, empowerment, enhanced relationships and communication skills.
Mindfulness/Guided Meditation – Mindfulness/Guided Visualisation Meditation is offered every Wednesday night at the Dayboro Scout Den at 7pm. Guided Meditations are a very nurturing and healthy ‘distraction’ for your mind. It’s a terrific starting point for beginners to meditation because it is so easy to do. By being guided through a visualisation journey, it allows your mind to gently shift away from the stress and tension of everyday life and focus on exploring something that is peaceful and calm, like the beautiful healing world of nature. Experienced meditators are also welcome.
Workshops – Counselling and Mindfulness/Meditation workshops are offered during the year for children, teenagers and adults.
